Telling someone that the antique they paid a lot of money for is a fake isn’t always welcome news to the owner, or for that matter, the dealer who sold it to them. Is that why Carl, the owner of the Palm Springs Antique Shop, had his life threatened? Or maybe someone thought dressing his dog in silks and jewels was ridiculous? Or maybe it was telling his adult daughter, a daughter he didn’t know he had, and who wanted to have a relationship with him, that he wasn’t interested. Our pasts have a way of catching up with us. Maybe it was just Carl’s time.
Fortunately, his friend Marty has solved a lot of mysteries, and being married to a Palm Springs Police Detective, she hopes she can help him before it’s too late. And it sure is nice to have a guard dog who seems to have psychic powers help out!
