Flower, Amanda

Amanda Flower (aka Isabella Alan) is an Agatha-nominated mystery author and writes the India Hayes Mystery Series which started in 2010 and is set in Ohio. It features India Hayes who is a starving artist and works as a college librarian. Her parents are liberal activists from the sixties and her sister is an emotional mathematician. To top it all off her zany landlady has kissed the Blarney Stone one too many times. If that's not enough, Amanda is also about to become an amateur sleuth. Her debut mystery in this series, Maid of Murder, was an Agatha Award Nominee for Best First Novel. Amanda also writes the Appleseed Creek Mystery which started in 2012 and takes place in Ohio. It features Chloe Humphrey who is a 24-year-old computer whiz who moves with some uncertainty to Appleseed Creek (Amish Country) to direct technology services at a nearby college. Amanda Flowers writes the Magical Bookshop Mystery Series which started in April 2016. It features Violet Waverly who rushes back home to sit by her ailing grandmother’s bedside. She is shocked to find that Grandma Daisy is the picture of perfect health. Violet doesn’t need to read between the lines: her grandma wants Violet back home and working in her magical store, Charming Books. She also writes the Magic Garden Mystery Series which starts in May 2018 and is set in Scotland. As Isabella Alan she writes the Amish Quilt Shop mystery series. Amanda Flower also writes the Amish Candy Shop Mystery Series which starts in August 2017 and is set in Ohio.
