Jeanne writes the Dorothy Martin Mystery series which started in 1995 and takes place in England. It features retired schoolteacher Dorothy Martin, an American expat living in England. Also featured is Dorothy's husband, retired Chief Constable Alan Nesbitt. The first book in this series, The Body in the Transept, won the Agatha award for Best First Novel of 1995. This series started some time ago so some of the books are out of print. The author's website said that her publisher is working on getting all of the books in this series onto e-book form. 9/2012 - The last 4 books in this series are available as hardcover, paperback or e-book. In the mean time I would check my local library for the earlier books. I will update this information as soon as it becomes available. Jeanne also writes the Hilda Johansson Mystery series which started in 1999 and is set in Indiana. It features Hilda Johansson who is a housemaid in South Bend, Indiana in the 1920s.
