Nancy writes the Blackbird Sisters Mystery Series which started in 2002 and is set in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It features three sisters, Nora, Libby and Emma Blackbird. They are Philadelphia heiresses whose parents have fun off with their trust fund. Now they must get jobs for the first time in their lives. Nora takes a job as the assistant to a newspaper society columnist and attends parties for a living. Nora's amateur sleuthing skills help her solve aristocratic murders.
Nancy also writes the Miss Ruffles Mystery series which starts in November 2015 and is set in Texas. It features Sunny McKillip, personal assistant to Honeybelle Hensley, Mule Stop's wealthy, elderly matriarch. Sunny main job is taking care of Miss Ruffles, Honeybelle's incorrigible dog, who'd just as soon eat your shoes as look at them. But Sunny's job becomes even stranger when Honeybelle dies and leaves all her worldly fortune to Miss Ruffles...and leaves Miss Ruffles in Sunny's care.
Nancy Martin was the winner of the 2009 Lifetime Achievement award for mystery writing from Romantic Times magazine. She is the author of 48 pop fiction novels in mystery, suspense, historical and romance genres.
