Karen Fields writes the Ellen Sparks Mystery series which started in 2014 and is set in California. It features thirty-five year Ellen Sparks. She is the Director of Employee Relations at a Carlsbad, California bio-genetics firm, and is passionately devoted to her career in Human Resources. From time-to-time she finds herself involved in murder investigations. She doesn’t seek them out, yet somehow they seem to find her. Ever the multi-tasker, Ellen somehow manages to keep up with her corporate responsibilities while bringing the killers to justice. How does she do it?
